Abseil Challenge · 18 May 2014

Rowans Hospice provides end of life care across South East Hampshire. We help improve quality of life for the patient around the clock. We receive a very small level of Government support and almost all of the money required to provide our services needs to be raised through voluntary giving.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I hold the Guinness World Record for being the oldest person to abseil. This year I will be celebrating my 100th birthday by abseiling 100m down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth and hope to reset my World Record.

I discovered a taste for abseiling when I was 85 years old and since then I have completed 14 abseils for The Rowans Hospice. So far I have raised just over £9,000 and hope that with this year's abseil I can top £10,000.

The Rowans Hospice is my local Hospice and all the care is given completely free of charge. Please help me to continue their wonderful care and support for patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
